Another Mark of Quality: Celebrating the Matrix Standard

We are delighted to confirm that we have completed another successful accreditation to the matrix Standard.

This is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.

This achievement not only reinforces our commitment to excellence but also serves as a strong foundation for continuing to improve and deliver outstanding support to our learners and employers.

Donna Allison, Quality Director, commented: “With a dedicated and passionate team that truly put people at the heart of what they do, we’re proud that this ethos has shone throughout the assessment. The matrix Standard is a valuable way to recognise and validate our success even further.”

Some of the strengths highlighted in our report:

  • SNE has robust models for the measurement and evaluation of IAG and learner progress.
  • Learners were keen to highlight their positive experience of SNE, and described feeling safe, happy and supported.
  • An organisational culture that is highly learner-centred was showcased throughout the assessment. Staff and management described a workforce of “People who are invested in changing lives”.
  • Learners interviewed were particularly keen to praise the one to one and group support across ALL provision, which it is clear goes far beyond any requirement of the funding or the qualification.
  • The focus of all current provision is to provide real opportunities to those who might otherwise lack the social capital to progress in life and work.
  • An emphasis on staff and learner wellbeing clearly permeates the organisation.
  • SNE ensures it has excellent working relationships with employer partners, which is particularly important as it develops apprenticeship provision. Employers interviewed described excellent two-way communication, and how they fully understood the requirements set by SNE and wider apprenticeship regulations.
  • Staff and management described an approach to quality that is fully integrated into SNE’s striving for continuous improvement…an emphasis is placed on quality being at the heart of service and curriculum development, including resources that meet learner needs on a range of IAG topics.

Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said:

This is a fantastic achievement for SNE, and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, SNE is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”
