Skills Bootcamp: Teaching Assistant

Join our fully-funded three-week classroom-based (in-person) skills boot camp, designed to equip you with the necessary training and qualifications to launch your career assisting students in educational institutions. Situated in Designworks in Felling, the course covers all aspects essential for becoming a proficient teaching assistant.
Upon completion, our dedicated employment advisor will assist you in connecting with prospective employers in your locality.
Please be aware that attendance for the full course is mandatory, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday to Thursday and from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Monday and Friday. During the second and third weeks, there will be opportunities for practical placement in schools, aligning with typical school hours.
This skills bootcamp is designed to:
- Give you a Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Equip you with an understanding of child development, safeguarding, and other essential knowledge for teaching assistant roles.
- Prepare you for employment as a teaching assistant through hands-on experience and guaranteed interviews.
- Provide access to personally fulfilling and financially stable career opportunities in teaching
