Caitlin’s Security Journey
Back in September Caitlin chose to enrol on the Skills North East Security Course. After 15 days of training she now has a SIA Licence and is fully qualified as a Door Supervisor with a job in a Newcastle nightclub! ‘It’s crazy to think before this course I was unemployed and now, because of the course I have a job I love!’ said Caitlin.
Caitlin considered a career in security for a while and after she saw one of our Facebook adverts, Caitlin got in touch with the Skills North East team and spoke to our Head of Engagement, Kara. Caitlin explained; ‘I had a great conversation with Kara and she told me all about the course. She told me what would be expected of me and explained there was a huge demand for Security staff, because of this I’d get a guaranteed interview at the end of the course’. Caitlin started the course just two weeks later.
‘The course was great, it had lot’s of information and a lot of theory, which makes you feel like you’re well prepared for work at the end of the it.’ As a result of the course Caitlin now works at a Newcastle nightclub. We’re so pleased Caitlin is now happy in her new job and we wish her well in the future. Well done Caitlin!
