This course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as a Beauty Therapy Massage.

You will be able to work competently as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in massage.

Unit 1 - Provide body massage treatments

By completing the unit, the learner will be able to understand:

  • how to work safely and effectively when providing body massage treatments

Unit 2 - Provide Indian head massage

By completing the unit, the learner will be able to understand:

  • working safely and effectively when providing Indian head massage
  • consulting with clients

Unit 3 - Carry out massage using pre blended aromatherapy oils. Provide stone therapy treatments

By completing the unit, the learner will be able to:

  • maintain safe and effective methods of working when carrying out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
  • consult, plan and prepare for treatments with clients
  • massage the body using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
  • understand organisational and legal requirements for carrying out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
  • recognise how to work safely and effectively when carrying out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils.
  • understand how to consult with clients
  • prepare to carry out massages using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
  • be aware of anatomy and physiology related to massage treatments

Unit 4 - Monitor procedures to safely control work operations

Can I apply
for this course?

Whether you qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan depends on your: course, age and nationality or residency status.

  • You must be 19 or older on the first day of your course.
  • Be living in the UK on the first day of your course
  • Have been living in the UK, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man for 3 years before starting your course
  • Be a UK national or have ‘settled status’ (this means there are no restrictions on how long you can stay).
